Functions That Give Answers

Some functions do things; others work something out and hand the answer back with return. Build a function that calculates how far a racer travels.

return speed * time

1. 1Write the maths

   Write distance(speed, time) that returns speed * time.

   function distance(speed, time) {
     return speed * time
   }

2. 2Use the answer

   Store the returned value in a variable.

3. 3Move by it

   Create a cheetah-fast tiger and move it that distance.

4. 4Show the number

   Say the distance out loud.
